Our Story
What Drives Us
Hey, I’m Pip Harpur. I hold a PG Certificate in Paediatrics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Palliative Care, a Master of Arts, and I’m currently a PhD candidate. I’ve spent over a decade working in General Practice and Urgent Care, and I’ve seen just how much impact compassion, time and understanding can have when paired with clinical skill.
As a nurse practitioner, I believe we bring the best of nursing and medicine together. We are able to work autonomously on our own, as well as within multidisciplinary teams both in the community and in the hospital sectors. We are able to manage both acute and chronic medical conditions and work in partnership with patients as their main health provider.

Ocean Breeze was born out of the desire to do healthcare differently, blending modern medicine with a personal touch. Whether we talk on the phone, connect virtually, see you in clinic, you’ll be met with respect, experience and real care. I look forward to working in partnership and supporting both individuals and families right here on the Coast.

I am a registered community nurse prescriber from South Africa, mother of 3 beautiful children, and 22years of experience in primary healthcare. My love and joy are to walk alongside people on their journey through life, facing health challenges together and provide guidance and support where I can. I'm here to take care of those little niggles in life, vaccinate against the nasties and deliver screening tests for those ugly scary things in life. Really listening and addressing health concerns in a holistic way is my goal. When life gets tough you'll find me singing along, horse back riding with my daughter or playing board games with the boys.

Married with two grown children and two grandchildren, I enjoy staying active through golf, Pilates, and long walks along our beautiful beaches. I love working as part of a close-knit, friendly team and take pride in helping patients feel settled, supported, and confident they are receiving the best possible healthcare. Being part of the fabulous Coasties community is something I truly value.

I enjoy my role as receptionist and being the welcoming front of house for the Ocean Breeze Health team. I love meeting people and supporting them to feel heard, cared for, and respected. I live on the coast with my family, and outside of work I enjoy watching movies and spending quality time with my partner.

Kate works casually at Ocean Breeze Health in reception and marketing, helping to ensure patients feel welcomed while supporting the clinic’s communication and community engagement. She is currently completing her Master’s in Social Work and brings a strong passion for advocacy, accessibility, and whānau-centred care.

Peter is a co-owner of Ocean Breeze Health with his wife, Pip, and works in partnership with Liz Scott to support the practice management role You’ll often see him helping out at reception. During the school term, Peter teaches locally and enjoys working with young people in our community. Outside of work, he loves fishing, reading, and renovating.
